Por La Vida / Struggle for Life. An ambitious
edition of 40, each containing 30 screen-prints onto Third
World banknotes removed from circulation as a result of inflation.
The banknotes are inserted into transparent sleeves. The origin
of the banknotes differs in each book, with the result that
each is unique in form and content. The book examines our
relationship with money as a piece of paper that is at the
same time representative of the value of things, its influence
and the curious way in which it dominates our lives. Bilingual
edition in Spanish and English with introductory text and
glossary of terms printed in inkjet. Fabric-bound with a paper
cover and covered screws holding the pages. Realized in the
WSW, New York, 2000. 26 x 15.5cm. 54 pages.

cada una 30 serigrafías sobre billetes fuera de circulación
debido a procesos inflacionarios en paises del tercer mundo.
Los billetes están insertos en páginas trasparentes;
la procedencia de los billetes varía en cada ejemplar
haciendo a cada uno de estos único en forma y contenido.
El libro examina nuestra relación con el dinero como
pedazo de papel y a la vez representante del valor de las
cosas, su influencia y el modo curioso en que domina nuestras
vidas. Con texto de introducción y glosario de terminos
impresos en inkjet. Edición bilingüe en inglés
y castellano.. Encuadernado en tela con cubierta de papel
al frente y pitones cubiertos sosteniendo las páginas.
