La
Argentina. This small, but nevertheless profound,
portfolio of images is one of the few offset editions produced
to date by the artist. It reproduces a series of seven digital
photographs made during December 2001, the year in which Argentina
suffered one of the worst crises in its history. To create
this series the artist employed emblems and symbols similar
to those used in his series Buenos Aires, which - within this
historical context - acquire a new critical perspective. Veroni
distributes the elements in the form of a flag or insignia,
upon a light blue and white background (the colours of the
national flag). The messages are articulated by the titles:
In My Strength Is My Hope, Mandala of Injustice, Pattern of
Existence etc. The edition of 500 has a cover design by Cristian
Turdera, based on Veroni’s images, and a prologue by
Christian Ferrer. Printed in the studios of Latingráfica.

La Argentina.
Este pequeño y sin embargo profundo portfolio de
imágenes es una de las contadas ediciones en offset
realizadas a la fecha por el autor. Reproduce una serie
de siete fotografías digitales hechas durante diciembre
de 2001 (año en que Argentina sufre una de las peores
crisis de su historia). Para crear esta serie Ral Veroni
recurrió a emblemas y símbolos similares a
los utilizados en su serie Buenos Aires y que, dentro del
contexto histórico, cobran un sentido crítico.
Sobre un fondo celeste y blanco, los colores nacionales,
y en forma de escarapelas o banderas Veroni distribuye los
elementos articulando mensajes definidos por los títulos:
En Mi Fuerza esta mi Esperanza, Mandala de la Injusticia
y Trama de la Existencia, etc.
Con prólogo de Christian Ferrer y diseño del
estuche y portada a cargo de Cristian Turdera basado en
las imágenes del autor. La edición consta
de 500 ejemplares. Impreso en los talleres de Latingráfica.
