The
Lottery Project. Continuing the model of Lucha
Por La Vida, the present book contains - within plastic sleeves
- original intervened lottery tickets, plus a series of texts
and documentary details about the public art project of the
same name, commenced in Glasgow (UK) in 2002. The Lottery
Project is a reflection on culture and fortune, art and economics
(or the lack of these). Bilingual Spanish-English edition
of 49, containing 49 ink-jet prints onto non-winning lottery
tickets (49 being the amount of numbers played in national
lotteries). The origin of the tickets differs in each book,
the majority coming from the UK, Argentina, Spain and Germany.
The edition is being released gradually as the artist plays
the lottery and has losing tickets available to print and
add to the pages of each book. In the colophon Ral Veroni
advises us that in the case of winning the jackpot he reserves
the right to leave the edition incomplete. Commenced in Buenos
Aires in July 2006. 26 x 15.5cm. 64 pages.

Project. El presente libro contiene, en sobre
plásticos, billetes originales de lotería
intervenidos más una serie de escritos y documentos
sobre el proyecto de arte público realizado bajo
el mismo nombre e iniciado en Glasgow, Escocia en 2002.
The Lottery Project es una reflexión sobre la cultura
y la fortuna, el arte y la economía (o sobre la escacés
de estas). La edición bilingüe castellano-inglés
se compone de 49 ejemplares. En su interior contiene 49
impresos en inkjet sobre billetes de lotería no premiados
(49 es el total de números a apostar en las loterías
nacionales). La procedencia de los billetes difiere por
cada libro; en su mayoría estos pertenecen a Gran
Bretaña, Argentina, España y Alemania. La
edición se va realizando paulatinamente en la medida
en que el artista juega a la lotería y dispone de
los billetes perdedores para la impresión y consecución
de las páginas de cada ejemplar. Desde el colofón
Veroni nos advierte que en el caso de ganar la lotería
éste no se compromete a finalizar la edición.
